Favorite Moments of 2015

Happy Friday Ya’ll!!

I wanted to share with you some of my favorite moments of 2015 (personal and business), share my goals, and what I am looking forward this year in 2016! (not in any particular order)

First of all, I’m going to start with one of the most AWESOME experiences of my life!… When I got Engaged!!

Taylor’s Family took me on a “Family Photo shoot” at Masonic Temple in Ft Worth where we met. It was going to serve as Christmas Card photos however my family and his family completely tricked me into thinking it was just a regular photo shoot (good thing I painted my nails in the car! :O…whoops!)

Anyways it was such an awesome experience and even more fun celebrating it with all of our friends & family afterwards at Rodeo Goat! Thank’s Hayle Hullett for all of the wonderful photographs!! :)…now to get to cherish this moment forever and EVER!!

Next I will have to share some of these precious pictures of my friend Laurie’s son Max, and her brother’s daughter Eva!

Max and Eva turned 1 this year (or I should say last year) and she wanted me to do a photo session of them together. These were taken at Irving Bible Church and we had a blast! Thank’s to Laurie’s mom and dad and everyone else to help keep them entertained throughout the shoot..;)

Most of you know that I am a Portrait Photographer however last year I wanted to get more into photographing Engagement’s and Weddings.

Nathan and Greis have been my “Super Couple” from the beginning! They are super fun and easy to work with! When I asked what they wanted for their Engagement Session they didn’t have a set idea, however when I suggested downtown Dallas they were super excited and cool about it! Photo shoots can be really long and one has to be prepared for anything (even changing shoes!..). They let me pose them however and wherever I wanted, which gave me the creativity to try new things. On their wedding day they were even more easy to work with since we have already had previous photoshoots together. Here are a few pictures of their Engagement Session (My FAVORITE!!) Greis’s Bridal (STUNNIG), and of course their wedding! 🙂

Another one of my favorite session’s from the year 2015 was Ashley and Mark’s Family Portrait Session. One fun fact about Ashley was that her dad and my Fiance’s dad played football together back in the day at TCU—however I didn’t know until after I photographed her wedding!..such a small world!! Anyway here is her precious family who all came in a few weeks before her wedding day!! 🙂

Another favorite portrait session of mine was my Fiance’s Graduation pictures at TCU! He did so well considering he’s not used to getting in front of a camera, especially my camera (he think’s I’m the paparazzi!) He did so well and I am so proud of him for sticking with it and enduring the pain…(I told him I could make anyone look good in photograph’s…see??)

One of the biggest decision I made in 2015 for my business was attending UNTIED Conference in Scottsdale, AZ. It was a weekend full of business building conferences, styled shoots, and getting involved in a photography community.

I learned a lot of what to do and what not to do and many things I can do to just continue to grow my business. One thing that stuck with me was just knowing that I’m not alone, which was repeated in talks over and over again which was very encouraging.

I am in a community of artists who are all entrepreneurs, and although we all have different backgrounds and specialize in many different things, we all get down on ourselves sometimes BUT have to remember that we are not alone!!— in this life and growing in our businesses together! I thoroughly enjoyed attending this conference, and it is definitely something that I would go to again in the future!….to read more about my experience at UNITED click here <—–
